The New Website is LIVE!

Thrilling news for us today as we re-launch our customer website as a blog — as well as our primary point of contact for new customers and their service requests. We’ve done a pretty good job of testing the site, but we’re always in search of feedback on what’s working and what’s not.

If you’re looking for help with a project at home or around the office, just submit your inquiry via our “CONTACT US / REQUEST SERVICE” page and we’ll get back to you before the close of business today. In the meantime, we’re working near the Panhandle as well as at “Smitten Ice Cream” in Hayes Valley this afternoon — so stop by and say hello or just grab a scoop while we install some new shelves for them.

RUSSIAN HILL HANDYMAN Co. | Week of 19 Mar. ’12

A few appointments dropped this morning, pulling Thursday and Friday afternoon off of the calendar, and likely Wednesday morning, but that’s still unconfirmed – so we’ve still got Wednesday mid-day/afternoon available, Friday morning, and Tuesday (tomorrow) available for immediate service. (Gosh, when’s the last time we had a next-day appointment available? I guess that’s what happens when the original site says we’re not taking new customers over a period of more than three weeks.)

Drop us a line and we’ll get you on the calendar more quickly than we’ve ever been able to before!

Don’t misunderstand us; we didn’t work for this customer. We’re just really big fans of her own handiness and/or the work of her Handyman. Hopefully, she’ll trackback to us once we’ve posted this link and use us for future painting and installation work — and let’s get that television off the table and onto the wall!

Throughout the week, we’ll post links to Apartment Therapy House Tours or Scavenger Sales or any other ideas we find online that we think might be of interest to our customers, particularly for renters who want to make minor adjustments to their home, but haven’t thought about all of the other things we can do while we’re there — particularly with new faucets, shower handles and light fixtures that can turn a rental into a home, tout-de-suite!

Kudos, Kirstyn — your home is an inspiration to us!

RUSSIAN HILL HANDYMAN Co. | Week of 19 Mar. ’12

As of Sunday, we still have appointments available this week, largely due to the fact that we weren’t responding to inquiries the week before. Drop us a line and we can get you on the calendar relatively quickly by our usual standards for turnaround. Glorious day in The City today — I think I need to head out for a cup of coffee to keep myself sharp!

THIS IS BETA! …LL HANDYMAN Co. | Week of 5 Mar. ’12

Ten years ago a crack commando unit was sent to prison by a military court for a crime they didn’t commit. These men promptly escaped from a maximum security stockade to the Los Angeles underground. Today, still wanted by the government, they survive as soldiers of fortune. If you have a problem and no one else can help, and if you can find them, maybe you can hire the A-team.

There’s a voice that keeps on calling me. Down the road, that’s where I’ll always be. Every stop I make, I make a new friend. Can’t stay for long, just turn around and I’m gone again. Maybe tomorrow, I’ll want to settle down, Until tomorrow, I’ll just keep moving on.

Hey there where ya goin’, not exactly knowin’, who says you have to call just one place home. He’s goin’ everywhere, B.J. McKay and his best friend Bear. He just keeps on movin’, ladies keep improvin’, every day is better than the last. New dreams and better scenes, and best of all I don’t pay property tax. Rollin’ down to Dallas, who’s providin’ my palace, off to New Orleans or who knows where. Places new and ladies, too, I’m B.J. McKay and this is my best friend Bear.
